Jakarta City Gas Smart Meter Project
The first LoRaWAN Prepaid Gas Meter Project in Southeast Asia. Approximately 2,000 Sindcon LoRaWAN Prepaid Gas Meters were deployed in the first phase of implementation.
Collaboration with Gas meter manufacturer Chint, the G1.6 model gas meter was reengineered to offer prepaid option and wireless data transmission over the LoRaWAN network.
Each gas meter has a built-in valve, which enable features like credit control, anti-store up, and anti-magnetic capabilities. Other functions includes monitoring the battery status, when the battery is taken off or in a low battery status and will automatically close the valve.
All these to ensure the meter consumption and payment data seamlessly integrate into PGN’s infrastructure.
Implementation
